As an Indigenous tribal researcher, my role focused on researching ancestral land relationships and whakapapa (family) ties to the land, which involved documenting both family and tribal histories. My primary responsibilities included gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data from a variety of sources to build family trees, relationships and trace ancestry. Using these skills, I can trace family lineages by examining historical records, public databases, archives, and genealogical sources like census records, birth and death certificates, wills, marriage certificates, and military records, upon request. For this course, such requests have been approved. All data analyzed and cross-referenced is verified for accuracy to ensure the family tree is accurate and supported by credible sources. Every entry into your family tree and journal will be properly cited. For this course an attempt of 10 generations of Ancestors will be researched, analysed and verified also comparing your DNA composition and results. This will mark the official recording of your Ancestors journey and you walking in the shoes of your ancestors.

Ancestry DNA testing is a powerful way to explore your roots, offering a window into your genetic heritage and ancestral connections. These tests are designed to be safe, non-invasive, and highly accurate, using advanced genetic science to analyze your unique DNA profile.

The process is simple: a small saliva sample is collected at home using a sterile kit and then securely sent to a certified lab. Once received, the lab extracts your DNA and analyzes it using autosomal testing, which examines a wide range of genetic markers inherited from both sides of your family.

With this data, your ancestral origins are mapped across different regions of the world, offering insights into your ethnic background and even connecting you with DNA matches—relatives who share common ancestors.

All data is handled with strict privacy protocols, and results are typically delivered through a secure online platform. Ancestry DNA testing continues to evolve, offering people a deeper understanding of their lineage, identity, and connection to human history.
